Red Carpet Flops At The Golden Globes

So it seems third time’s the charm for Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, who got their “final” stint as big-time award hosts at last night’s 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. I hear they did a stellar job and the night had more than it’s fair share of touching and memorable moments.

I wont say much else, but I just came across some of the red carpet pictures from last night 2015 Golden Globe Awards.

S*%t.

All I could think while going through the pictures was, “What happened!!!??”

Television and movie stars who are usually so beautifully turned out failed to produce even a decent outfit, let alone a red-carpet-worthy one. As I scrolled through, they all managed to disappoint me, one after the other.

All of them. All of.

Rather than spew a bunch of haterade, let me just allow the pictures to speak for themselves.

Black is the new Black

Yes, based on what was happening on the Red Carpet on Sunday, Black is the colour of the season.

At this year’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, Hollywood’s A-listers stuck to the staple colour when everyone from Angelina Jolie, to Ashlee Simpson stepped out in dark and dramatic gowns.

While Angie was giving advice to aspiring actors, Brad dropped hints that the power couple might work together on screen again, sometime in the near future.

George Clooney and former wrestler, Stacy Keibler also stuck to the mantra of black is best, with George, who was nominated for a SAG donning a midnight blue Giorgio Armani.

Other stars in black included Amber Heard, Emma Stone, Jane Krakowskie, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Ashley Fink, Glenn Close and Lauren Potter.

While black was definitely the colour of the night, some stars brightened up the carpet with some bright berry shades as well as… Michelle Williams, Guiliana Rancic and Sofia Vergara looked gorgeous as our bright berries and Dianna Agron in shocking pink.

The only other seeming trend for the night was tone of silver-grey, shown off to perfection by Lea Michele of Glee and co-star Naya Rivera. Ariel Winter and Octavia Spencer also worked this trend to perfection

Zoe Saldana, Kristen Wiig, Tilda Swinton, Viola Davies, Kelly Osbourne and Linda Grey all went further down the same scale and opted for white.

So pull out your LBD & Louboutin-look-alikes, and make your way to your nearest red carpet…Im having one installed in my house as we speak 😉
